Exploring Faith, Pursuing Grace
The EFPG podcast was started by Kevin Pendergrass and Dr. Lee Grant. After 105 episodes, Kevin and Lee needed a break, so they turned the reigns over to their good friend Daniel Rogers. Daniel is a co-minister at the North Broad Church in Albertville, Alabama. His website is https://danielr.net.

Thursday Dec 08, 2022
Thursday Dec 08, 2022
In this episode, Daniel interviews Sean-Alex Smith, the worship minister for the Clear Creek Church of Christ in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Sean-Alex and Daniel both came from a background who approached worship from a more transactional perspective, so they explore how their views of worship has changed, why that matters, and what a more generous approach to worship may look like.

E109:Bitterness, Disagreements, and THOSE Holiday Conversations w/ Jesse Winn
Thursday Nov 24, 2022
Thursday Nov 24, 2022
You're sitting around the dinner table. Aunt Marge just passed the stuffing. As you dip out a healthy helping, Cousin Timmy starts in, "I saw you share a post about God having children around the globe... don't you know that the earth is actually..."
Unfortunately, a lot of us have been in situations where family gatherings are used as an opportunity to try to "bring us back" to the correct religious or political position. This week, for this special Thanksgiving episode, Jesse Winn joins me to talk about how to deal with bitterness and how to approach these conversations.

E107: House Church Planting w/ Matt Dabbs
Thursday Oct 27, 2022
Thursday Oct 27, 2022
In this episode, Daniel has a conversation with Matt Dabbs, of Backyard Church and Wineskins, about planting house churches. In a day where many people cannot find a church home in a traditional "big church," perhaps planting a house church could provide a viable and fulfilling (not to mention biblical) option! E104: Signing Off... (For Now?)
Thursday Jul 21, 2022
Thursday Jul 21, 2022
Well folks, this is it. The episode you never wanted to happen. After 2+ years of weekly content, Kevin and Lee have decided to bring the podcast to a close, or at the very least a hiatus.
Life is busy! Between work, kids, and all of the things life can throw at you, Kevin and Lee both need some time to pursue other ventures.
But more importantly, as we all travel the road of faith, sometimes what has been a help can become a hindrance to spiritual growth. This wasn't a decision made lightly, but it is a necessary choice.
We love you! We appreciate you! We remain available and our email will still be live, our Facebook group will remain up, and this podcast will remain up until the heat death of the universe.
Holler at us! Exploringfaithpursuinggrace@gmail.com

What does it mean to Explore Faith?
Everyone has a belief system. We believe what we believe in large part because of what we've been taught by our parents, grandparents, pastors, and faith leaders.
But what happens when our inherited belief systems no longer serve us? What happens when our faith divides rather than unites, causes strife instead of peace, and brings angst and anxiety in place of freedom and joy?
Kevin Pendergrass and Lee Grant found themselves asking these questions and began the process of exploring their belief systems in search of something better than what had been handed down to them. In their exploration of their faith, they found a God that loves all, whose grace is far bigger than they could have ever imagined.
