Our previous episodes on this topic addressed the nature of Marriage, Divorce, and Remarriage in the Old Testament, under the Law of Moses. We discussed the divorce certificate and valid reasons for divorce under the Hebrew Law. In episode 3 we unpacked the idea of the Letter of the Law vs. the Intent of the Law, and towards the end of the episode we discussed what obedience looks like in light of that idea. In this episode, we discuss the oft-used term "Relationship with Jesus" and what that means. Does that term describe a scriptural idea? Neither of us thought so for a long while, until we learned to look at God's word as God's 'story' rather than a legal document, or 'case law'. ALSO!
