In this episode we begin a brief series on the study of the end times, referred to commonly as eschatological studies in theological circles.
The first concept we discuss is preterism, which is a belief that all Biblical prophecy came to pass before AD70 and the destruction of Jerusalem.
We discuss this with our guest, Daniel Rogers! Daniel has published his work on his website and on his youtube channel.

The idea of the reduction of all bodily resurrection references to spiritual transformation by grace has rhetorical plausibility, but it may obscure a wider context of biblical meaning. The human body is an irreducible and essential part of our humanity. One cannot spirit it away without doing violence to our bodies or souls. This is a basic datum of human experience, the intuition of which btw separates traditional Jews from philosophical Greeks. Why bother to assert Jesus rose in a body?

Best discussions yet online regarding preterism. And refreshingly amicable.

Good respectful discussion of a topic as contentious as "the Trinity", "hell" and "Genesis chap1:1-2:3". At the start Daniel correctly stated that coming to accept Preterism will result in a radical change of mindset, if a person was entrenched in Futurism. It's ultimately how a person understands the nature of the Kingdom of God. Looking forward to the second installment. God bless
